Royal Ulster Academy. Ulster Museum. After a busy morning spent on posing and working with the babies we stopped for lunch then spent the afternoon looking at editing and marketing which was full of loads of great tips.

It is no secret that I adore my job and nothing more so than photographing a newborn baby. To get these results it is often a long process of putting several images together in the edit process and cropping out mum and dad from the shot!! Unfortunately there are no regulations within the photography industry so when looking for a photographer to photograph your baby please make sure and do your homework instead of just looking at price.

I am delighted to say that I have been accepted as a member of Banp…. British Association of Newborn Photographers and with this I have to agree to their strict terms and conditions when photographing a newborn baby.

Their website offers great advice for parents and is definitely worth looking at before deciding on a photographer. The ladies behind Banp are amazing at what they do and I have been lucky enough to know most of them for quite some time and will be continuing my training with them towards the end of the year. If every photographer was to follow their guidelines then you would have no worries that your baby is in safe hands.
